Darkness covered the clouded skies, the few twinkling stars being covered by the gathering rain clouds. Slowly rain began to descend from the sky, pattering against the surfaces of the world below. One of these surfaces was a window of a darkened room, a lone figure barely visible in a chair behind the glass.
He was a strange creature indeed – an animal with the main appearance of a wolf except for large, long ears resembling that of a rabbit and a long spade-tipped tail one would normally associate with a demon. His fur was charcoal black, almost making him invisible in the darkness. Long, midnight black hair reached down past his shoulders, streaked with grey. His form was clad in a dark purple suit, blending in well against his fur and in a white-gloved hand he held a glass of brandy - swirling it around the glass on regular intervals.
He did nothing but sit in his chair, swirling his un-sipped brandy and watching the rain as it fell against his window as he had done for many nights
